The gate, live

A number that was not verified does not exist.

One item out of a deliverable. Three answers from the tool. You decide, against the source.

E3The tool said: Low pressure

The item-verification screen in the application: a fault code, a photograph of the source, and four possible results.

A working method for AI in engineering, for the people who sign

Engineers already use these tools, every day. What checks the output before the signature goes on the document?

The problem

One fault code. Three answers. Two of them opposite.

  • E3Manufacturer AHigh-pressure switch
  • E3Manufacturer BLow pressureThe opposite of manufacturer A
  • E3Manufacturer CA remote-control communication error

A tool answering from memory will not tell you which table it answered from. A technician acting on the wrong answer adds refrigerant to an overcharged system.

The gap is not ability. The gap is that no step stops the output before the signature. A weld has an inspector. A drawing has a check. A pressure test has a handover. Output from an AI tool has no such step.

Gate scan · AI risks and opportunities in engineering work

Short interviews with three to five people, and a check of 20 to 40 items in three real deliverables against an authoritative source. A mapping of the uses by the five permission levels, a findings table, a risk map, a one-page recommendation, and a 45-minute presentation to management.

₪12,000 to ₪18,000 + VAT. Small business: ₪6,000 to ₪9,000 + VAT.

Scan guarantee: if at least three items that were not verified are not found, there is no payment.

Lecture

One to one and a half hours, in person or on Zoom. A live demo: the same table, once as an image and once as text.

₪3,000 to ₪5,000 + VAT

The lecture fee is credited in full to the scan, if the scan is closed within 30 days.

Gate pilot · one process, measurement before and after

A baseline measurement, structured requests with a source, the 13-field verification log running on the process, the gate rule entering the process owner's signature, hands-on training, and a before-and-after report.

₪30,000 to ₪45,000 + VAT. Small business: ₪15,000 to ₪25,000 + VAT.

The verification gate workshop

Two evening sessions on your reports, procedures and specifications. It ends with an exam with no tools.

₪12,000 to ₪15,000 + VAT

Details and process

What the organisation gets at each step

The process

How we work with you

  1. 1Call

30 minutes, by phone or Zoom. What you sign, who signs, how much. No cost.

  2. 2Mapping

Which deliverables, and which documents may not go to a cloud tool. A one-page document.

  3. 3Date

Evenings, Fridays, three slots a month.

  4. 4Delivery

At your site or on Zoom. We work on your deliverables.

  5. 5What stays

A log inside your templates, a labelling table, a declaration, certificates.

The method

Three stages. One gate.

  • G4 Fault code

Interpreted from memory. The same code means different, even opposite, things across manufacturers.

Example: E3 is high pressure at one maker and low pressure at another.

    Item checked
    What the tool said
The tool read E3 as high pressure.
    Correction
At maker B the same code marks low pressure. The meaning depends on the maker and the model.
    Verification source
The fault-code table in maker B's service manual, for the model in the field.
    Item type
    fault-code
  • G1 Table from image

A query on a photographed table is far less accurate than the same query on the table as text.

Example: a photographed manufacturer data table, and the value is read from the neighbouring row.

    Item checked
    What the tool said
From a photograph of the data table, the tool gave the value on the requested model's row.
    Correction
In the same table as text, the value on that row is different. The tool read a neighbouring row.
    Verification source
Maker A's data sheet as text, not as a photograph.
    Item type
    number
  • G6 Silent completion

A part number, date, model or action that was never supplied is filled in with full confidence.

Example: a report describing an inspection that never happened, with a date.

    Item checked
    What the tool said
The report carried a part number, a date and an action performed.
    Correction
None of the three were given to the tool. They were filled in, and presented like the rest of the report.
    Verification source
The signed service ticket and maker C's parts list.
    Item type
    part-model
  1. 1Do it yourself

A written estimate before you open the tool. Five to twenty minutes. An estimate that was not written does not count.

  2. 2Ask the tool

A structured request in six parts, with constraints and a missing-data instruction: "Do not invent. Write missing."

  3. 3The gate

Every item against an authoritative source. The gap is recorded. The result goes into the verification log.

One blocked item: the whole output stays a draft. "Almost verified" is not a state.

Questions

Three questions that keep coming back

We already use AI tools. What does this add?

The tool is already with you. We add the step that checks it, before the signature.

What about confidentiality?

Your documents stay with you. Nothing goes to a cloud tool without your written approval.

How does this differ from an ordinary AI course?

An ordinary course teaches tools. We teach the gate that comes before the signature. Tool names do not appear in our materials.
