The verification gate: the step missing before the signature
A number that was not verified does not exist.
To print or save as PDF: print from the browser (Ctrl+P). The page is laid out for A4.
The problem
An air-conditioning unit shows E3. Manufacturer A: High pressure. Manufacturer B: Low pressure. Manufacturer C: Remote-control communication. A tool answering from memory will not tell you which table it answered from.
A weld has an inspector. A drawing has a check. A pressure test has a handover. Output from an AI tool has no such step.
A tool answering from memory will not tell you which table it answered from.
The gap is not ability. The gap is that no step stops the output before the signature.
The method
- Stage 1: A written estimate, before the tool.
- Stage 2: A structured request, with a source and a missing-data instruction.
- Stage 3: Every item against an authoritative source, and a log entry.
One blocked item: the whole output stays a draft.
One blocked item: the whole output stays a draft.
What the organisation gets
- A verification log of thirteen fields, installed in the existing templates.
- A task labelling table, with a level, a reason and an approver.
- An AI use declaration for every submission.
- An error-hunt exam, with no access to tools.
- A quarterly report: which failures repeat, and in which deliverables.
